Our aim at PureClarity is to provide you with an extremely powerful, yet flexible personalization tool. With this in mind, our Product Development Team recently held a number of workshops with the aim to solve one key question - How can we make it easier for you, our clients, to configure your own templates and build your own styles all within the PureClarity dashboard?
The answer - Template Management.
What is Template Management?
When PureClarity is implemented, we work closely with you to ensure each element matches your site's styling. This has traditionally been done 'offline', meaning that changing or adapting a style after go-live hasn't always been as easy as it should, and could be. Template Management is a new area within your Dashboard that houses all of the HTML and CSS for each PureClarity element allowing you to very quickly edit your templates or styles to change the way PureClarity elements look on your website.
Where to find it.
Log in to your Dashboard, navigate to Configurations > Templates - Merchandising or Templates - Search.
How does it work?
For existing clients - The templates you currently have on your website will become your 'default' templates within Template Management. All of the HTML and CSS information has been copied across for you and is now available for you to see.
For new clients - During implementation PureClarity's 'default' templates will be preconfigured within your dashboard. To update these templates to match your own styling you simply need to create a new version, amend the styles, preview and publish.
Styles.
A 'Style' simply means you can create multiple different styles/designs for PureClarity's elements (such as Autocomplete, Recommenders or Carousels). For example, you may want a Product Recommender to appear on the home page with oversized product images and a left-aligned title, whereas on a product page you may want smaller images with a central title. With Styles, this can now be achieved quickly and easily. Template Management allows you to create as many styles as you wish, these can then be attributed to different zones and campaigns. Hello, flexibility!
Preview.
Our brand new 'Preview Mode' allows you to set a new style or template and preview how it will look on your staging or live website (no crossing of fingers and hitting publish!). This means you can ensure you have the look and feel of your PureClarity elements perfect before revealing them to your customers.
and, finally...Debug!
Think of this as PureClarity's very own 'Tag Assistant'. The new 'Debug Mode' allows you to see how PureClarity is set up on your site and check that all of the correct data is being sent over and whether the BMZs are set up correctly.
What are you waiting for? Head over to your dashboard and check it out! We're currently working on a number of new features to make customization even easier (hint hint - you'll be pleased if HTML isn't your first language!). Check back for more updates.
