First things first: you'll set up your "Default" campaign for the "Everyone" segment. The Default gives you a great base for layering campaigns on top to override certain BMZs and target different segments.
If you are setting about creating your BMZs for the first time, you'll initially select the page type (BMZ group) in which you'd like to add the BMZs to, i.e Homepage, Cart, Order Confirmation etc. Once you have selected the page type to edit, the system will populate the screen with the BMZs you've pre-configured in the "BMZs" admin area.
Click on the edit icon to the BMZ. You will then see the edit screen.
As your Product Pages, Product Listing Pages and Category Listing Pages will be set up with 'Context' tracking, you'll be able to make use of the enhanced BMZ rules to show different content depending on which Product or Category is being viewed. As well as being able to set up different content that is related to a particular product or Category, you can also set up rules based on whether the product or category has been viewed or purchased before.
Adding a 'Default' here means you can set up the same content for all products or all categories and then use the addition of a 'New Rule' to override the Default with a chosen few Product or Category specific rules.
The rules are simple to apply:
- ‘Always use this rule’– will always show the BMZ Content Type
Only use this rule if the visitor has:
- ‘Viewed this product/ Category before’
- ‘Bought this product before’
You can select the product if you’ve selected the ‘Only use’ option.
