All of your merchandising campaigns can be found under the Merchandising section of the navigation. Choose Campaigns to manage your individual campaigns, and choose Default to edit the fallback campaign that will be used if the visitor doesn't fall into any other Campaign conditions.
The Campaign List shows a summary of all the personalized campaigns you have defined. You can filter this list by keying in the name of the campaign you’re interested in within the filter text box. The filter also uses the tags defined for each campaign so that you can quickly view grouped campaigns. For example, you may have a series of personalized campaigns for "Mother’s Day," so you’d set up all those campaigns using the same tag "Mother’s Day."
You can also see which campaigns are currently being A/B tested and you can drill-down to the results by clicking on the graph icon.
Campaign Order Precedence
Whenever a page loads on your site PureClarity determines which is the correct campaign to use to show them your personalised content. PureClarity tries each campaign in turn (top to bottom) and checks if it is valid for the current page. There are lots of ways of controlling which campaigns your customers see:
- Segments can be used to restrict campaigns to certain types of visitors to your site. Each campaign can have multiple segments defined for it. Alternatively you can set it to be applicable to "Everyone."
- Start and End Date. Segments can have a start date and end date. This allows you to setup campaigns in advance and have them go live automatically and finish automatically. You can leave the Start and End date blank to make the campaign run forever.
- Campaigns must be Active in order for PureClarity to consider them.
- Campaign Rules can be used to determine whether to show the campaign based on real-time information. This includes site information such as whether the customer has viewed or added a product to their basket; what the current basket total is; whether they've searched for a particular term; where they've come from - or even the current weather! Add and Editing a Campaign
To add a campaign click on the ‘Add New Campaign’ at the bottom of the Campaign List. To edit a campaign click on the edit icon on the campaign. Clicking each of these buttons will navigate you to the Manage Campaign page.
There are 3 sections to managing a campaign.
Here you can define the basic properties of the campaign.
The start date and end date for the campaign can be used to restrict when the campaign will be used by PureClarity. You can use this to setup time based campaigns in advance and have them go live automatically. Note that campaigns need to be set to Active before PureClarity will use them.
Tags allow you to group campaigns. You might have several campaigns that all relate to "Mothers Day" for example. If you tag them all, then on the Campaign List you can use the filter to just show you these campaigns.
You can also choose which customer segments this campaign will be shown to.
This is a great way of showing personalised content to your customers. "VIP Customers" could be shown a "Free delivery on orders over $100" for example, and "First Time Visitors" could be shown a voucher for free delivery. You can choose multiple segments for a campaign as well. If you do not choose a segment then the campaign will be potentially be shown the all of your visitors.
To alter which customer segments will be shown the campaign click the Add button under Segments and then select the customer Segment you would like to add. You can add multiple segments by going through the process again.
To remove a segment from a campaign click on the trash icon next to the segment . This will remove the segment from the list.
To add a campaign rule click the 'Add Rule' button under the Campaign Rules section. You will be shown the different types of campaign rules that can be configured. Once you have completed a campaign rule click the Set button. For more information regarding the different type of rules please click here. You are able to set multiple campaigns by going through the process again. To save all the configurations you need to click the Save button which will navigate you back to the campaign list page.
This section allows you to setup the individual content for the campaign. Click on "Configure New BMZ" to choose the page you want to show customized content on.
