Welcome to PureClarity.
This guide takes you through the 5 steps to implementing PureClarity on your site.
Before you begin, PureClarity provides a number of Plug-ins that will automatically undertake a number of these steps. Please speak to your Success Manager to see if we have a plug-in for your ecommerce platform.
The Five Steps
Here are the 5 steps:
1: Planning & Setup
The first decision before implementing PureClarity is whether you will adopt the Client-side or Server-side implementation method. The Client-side method is our recommended approach.
For more information see: Client vs Server-side Implementation Methods
To get the best out of the software you need to consider the most optimal placement of the merchandising zones. To help you decide we have provided a 'best practice' guides on where to place these zones. We recommend you review them before adding the PureClarity elements to your site as part of step 4.
For more information, BMZ Best Practice Guide.
2: Implement the PCJS & Event Tracking Snippets
For more information see: PCJS Master Function.
The Event Tracking Snippets captures events such as products viewed, basket content, orders placed, social tracking, currency changes and login & logout.
You can see all the tracking code snippets to be added to each page within the Admin console under ‘Configurations > Tracking Snippets’.
3: Implement the Data Feeds
You will need to build and test the Data Feeds. Includes mandatory Product Feed & non-mandatory Category, Brand & User data feeds.
You can test your feeds in the Admin console under 'Configurations > Feed Management'.
For more information see: Data Feeds
For the client-side method see: Client-side method
For the server-side method see: Server-side API method
5: Past Order Data and Offline Order Data
Once you're ready to start to use PureClarity it is advisable to upload at least 6 months of past order history to kick-start the AI's learning.
For more information see: Historic Order Feed
You can also use this method to provide a daily feed of orders that are generated offline (e.g. phone and in store orders). PureClarity's machine learning will use this data to adapt its recommendation results. This is optional.
Now, you're ready to Go-Live!
Once you’re happy that PureClarity is working correctly you just need to sign the Go-Live agreement to get going.
Typically a PureClarity implementation takes between 5 to 10 days depending on the implementation method.
