Redirects allow you to redirect a user to a specific page based on the search term they have entered. For example, if someone searched for ‘Contact Us’ we can quickly redirect them to the Contact Us page rather than presenting them with products.
To add a new redirect click on the ‘Redirects' button under the Site Search option of the admin console, you will then be presented with an empty redirect rule to complete.
Give the rule a name and enter the search terms separated by commas. You can then choose a Start and End date and time for the rule to be live and check ‘Is Active’ to make it active. If you leave the Start and End date and time blank then the rule will always be live.
Key in the URL of the page you want to redirect to; make sure that this includes the full URL path with the ‘http://’ prefix.
Click on the ‘Tick’ to save the rule.
To edit a redirect click on the edit icon; this will allow you to then edit the fields within the rule.
To delete a redirect click on the garage can icon; this will then remove the rule from PureClarity.
