As an example, imagine a brand-new visitor arrives at your site (call her Susan). The AI knows what work best for first-time visitors, so it’ll show Susan a selection of Recommenders and products most likely to result in conversions. Now Susan might click on an item that caught her interest – perhaps a jar from one particular brand – and now that information will affect her journey even more. If she searches for jars, that brand will push its way up to the top of her search recommendations. If she buys the jar, that’s another piece of information that will be stored and used. As she interacts with your site, and visits it more, the AI learns more about both Susan and customers like Susan, making every visit an opportunity for the AI to learn and improve.
While the AI is powerful, there’s no replacement for human know-how and expertise in various industries. With the option to manually set up Campaigns to target any group of people as broad or specific as you like, you can show different visitors totally unique recommendations, banners, and emails. The only limit is your ingenuity and how well you know your customers.
If we consider Susan again, we can imagine we want to show people who have bought jars in the past that we’re selling markers to write on jars, something which they might not have previously considered. The AI won’t know that those two products will sell well together because they might not have necessarily been purchased together in the past, but you do. You can create a Campaign aimed at people like Susan, who have bought jars, and show them the markers at any point during their journey on your site, to let them know it's a useful product that would work well for them.
